KOSHO

KOSHO

www.kosho.de

KOSHO, the singer/songwriter/guitarist living in Mannheim, is not only recording and on the road playing guitar with the ECHO and COMET awarded "Söhne Mannheims", Xavier Naidoo and jazz legends such as Les McCann ("Compared to what") and Michal Urbaniak.

He also appears on many and various albums from other artists e.g. Nena‘s "Chokmah", universal genius André Heller‘s highly celebrated 3-CD-comeback album "Ruf und Echo" and rising sun Wallis Bird‘s debut album on Island Records (myspace.com/wallisbird). Brandnew on Zelia Fonseca "Impar" (enja records).

Whether as a "world musical one-man-orchestra"(Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung) or with his tight and heartbleeding band, Kosho leaves the desert land of desperately needed categories behind him. With his clear yet emotional voice and acoustical funk-guitar producing an individual sound, whose mother is called "bossa" and father "the blues", you hear songs from the jungle between pop and jazz, from melancholy to euphoria.
